08:37:52 - male shoveler, one is persistant in approaching female, other male already paired off with her, so he defends his right, female also shows her annoyance.

09:12:20 - teal, plenty on lagoon pool, all pairing up, squabbles everywhere, brief take offs, to land a few feet later

09:19:55 - much to my amusement, this gadwall wants a private warm perch on this log. log must be icy as duck loses balance instantly and goes back into water. it does not retry its efforts.

10:05:39 - redwing, twenty or so, at west end of pumphouse pool

10:07:48 - great tit, same place as redwings, this one was about five metres above me

10:42:21 - long-tailed tit, at upper moss side, lots of them feeding on this seed
|

10:46:26 - goldfinch, plenty feeding in same area as long-tailed tit
